Composite pre-filter (PCB) for BEM Orion

Multi-stage filter for the pre-treatment of tap water and to protect the reverse osmosis system.
Combines mechanical filtration with activated carbon for effective water treatment upstream of the RO membrane.

Functions and benefits:

Reduces mechanical impurities (sand, rust, suspended solids)
Reduces the residual chlorine content
Improves the taste and odor of the water
Relieves the RO membranes and extends their service life

Filter structure:
The filter is designed as a composite cartridge and consists of

a layer of polypropylene fibers (PP) for mechanical filtration
an activated carbon block for the adsorption of chlorine and organic compounds

Performance and service life:

Filter capacity: up to 2400 liters
Recommended replacement: every 6-12 months

The specified values are guide values and apply under optimum conditions.
The actual service life depends on the quality of the tap water, the mineral content, the contamination load and the frequency of use.
With an average degree of mineralization of the tap water (approx. 250-300 ppm), it is recommended to adhere to the usual replacement intervals

Instructions for use:
Before first use, the filter should be rinsed according to the instructions.
Regular replacement is necessary to ensure the performance of the system and a consistently high water quality.

Filter change:
The filter can be changed without tools and in just a few steps.

Recommended:

Shut off the water supply
Depressurize the system
Disconnect the appliance from the power supply
Replace the filter

After installation, the system should be flushed until the water quality has stabilized.

Recommendations for filter replacement according to TDS value:

The specified lifetimes are approximate values and are based on average water consumption (approx. 10-20 liters per day) and the quality of the source water. With an increased TDS value and a higher degree of contamination, the service life of the filters may be shortened even with a relatively low usage volume.

Important notes

The filter must not be removed during operation.
Failure to comply with the recommended replacement intervals can lead to reduced filter performance or malfunctions.
Damage caused by improper use or disregard of the instructions may be excluded from the warranty.
