The service life of the membrane depends on the quality of the source water and the condition of the pre-filter. Delayed replacement can lead to a reduction in filtration efficiency and a deterioration in drinking water quality. The use of filters with hot water (>38°C) is prohibited, as this destroys the structure of the membrane and the activated carbon.
